Meet a Corporate Sponsor: Fiduciary Trust International of California

The Los Angeles-based investment management firm Fiduciary Trust International of California has provided ongoing sponsorship support for St. Vincent Meals on Wheels since 2001.

Fiduciary Trust has supported St. Vincent Meals on Wheels as a major sponsor of our fundraising events, including the Angel Ball.

William Barrett, President & CEO of Fiduciary Trust International of California, has also provided volunteer leadership for the program since 1993. Barrett led the capital campaign to build St. Vincent's new kitchen and the Hotel Dieu residence. Today, he serves on the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation board of directors.

"It's the nature of our company to support our community," said Barrett. "But what began principally as a business relationship for me has become a personal passion to help St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. I am inspired by the program's mission to feed every homebound person in need, as well as the humble hard work and dedication of Sister Alice Marie and her staff. We will always be there to help them."

Meet a Corporate Sponsor: Doozycards.com

Doozycards.com, an internet ecard company, was started when Bob Cooke and Chandler Cooke wanted to uplift people and bring laughter to their day through internet ecards. They noticed the internet didn’t have any truly funny, high quality ecards so they set out to create their own. Today people have sent Doozycards to over two million friends and family.

"It’s a joy to dedicate a percent of our company’s monthly sales to Meals on Wheels since it falls in line with the company’s mission to uplift people", said Chandler. "It’s very rewarding for our customers to enjoy Doozycards and also know they are helping to feed homebound seniors with their subscriptions. It’s a win, win for any company."
