On Wednesday, November 22, 2006, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, along with his wife and son, visited St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. The Governor spoke to the staff and volunteers, and then gave a hand in the kitchen preparing meals. Later he and his family helped to deliver meals to two of our clients. It was an honor to be recognized by the Governor and it was a day we’ll never forget!

St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, the country’s largest, privately-funded meals program, will honor the Daughters of Charity Foundation for its generous support and dedication at the Angel Ball on Friday, June 2, 2006. The black-tie gala, which will feature musical entertainment by Shana Morrison and a live auction hosted by Doug Savant of Desperate Housewives, will raise much-needed funds for St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. Harrah’s Foundation Presents $30,000 Meal Delivery Van to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels
The Harrah’s Foundation will donate a new $30,000 2006 Ford Freestar SE meal delivery van at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Kitchen located at 2201 Miramar Street in Los Angeles. Anne Sheridan, Harrah’s Corporate Director of Community Relations, will present the delivery vehicle to Sr. Alice Marie Quinn, founder and executive director of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. More >
